This is where songs worthy of Mad Science shall get shared.
There are but a few rules:
    _outlandish topics and texts
    _weird instrumentations
    _fun

So for the first entry I shall share Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of the War of The Worlds, a progressive rock retelling of the original novel originally released on two full LPs:

It features epic flute solos, disco beats, weird beats, odd sounds, nice sounds, smooth sounds, a british narrator, a part where they sing about rebuilding society underground with science, a martian invasion and it's all very weird and fun.

Feel free to share weird fun music too! FOR SCIENCE

    Can-Can, Can, Can
Krautrock version of the can-can on the album Can by the group Can.

Two tracks by John Zorn, who skillfully murders his sax with every album.
A Shot in the Dark (Pink Panther theme), Naked City, John Zorn

James Bond Theme, Naked City, John Zorn

(The forum's auto-conversion of youtube links is not very friendly...)

I went to see Naked City once. They were every bit as fun as those tracks indicate.

Anyway, my contribution is this, from the magnificent proggers Gentle Giant, a song about being mad, sung from inside a padded cell.
Instrumentation - just voice and percussion.
And if what the doctors in this video are doing isn't Mad Science, then I don't know what is...

Electronic Light Orchestra's album Time is about time travel (it came out years before back to the future, too!), here's a love song about an android from the year 2095.

It also has a heartfelt ballad about leaving the Earth by rocket, with the protagonist missing his loved one who was left in the year 1980, which is not a sentence you type everyday.

Everybody knows Undertale and how fricking great its soundtrack is, but still, I have to put this one in here...

Can you feel the UNBRIDED MAD SCIENCE LAB CHAOS?

Ok, now I've found a better one. It just screams evil science things montage, I mean A THEREMIN god dammit, that's quirky enough on it's own!

Either way it's a bloody brilliant song, sadly they disbanded. And formed Wintergatan instead! Which is just as bloody good. Bloody.

*raises hand* Do Dr. Horrible songs count? I mean the eponymous character is a mad scientist supervillain.

Also, come on, you need some Jekyll & Hyde on a Mad Science playlist.

I like the Jekyill and Hyde song, it screams mad science. XD

    On a rather different tone:

So there's this man called Jean-Jacques Perrey who was a pioneer of electronic music. Couple catchy sixties swinging melodies with pretty insane instrumentation, and you get something exceedingly fun and mad.

Essentially, it's the fun variant of mad science, but with music.

So, time for another experiment of MAD SCIENCE!
    Take prog-rock.
    Take traditional Japanese music.

    and then FUUUUSIOOOOOON!

So here's a song about a space engine faster than light, and it has the line Atomic Power On and this is just glory.
