What about an X-Com-ish modern sci-fi? Or a Dieselpunk/Atompunk 1920s-1950s theme? Or a Call of Cthulhu type thing? We've got a lot of choices, so let's not rush things.

Heh...you're the one who wanted to start one. I thought you had a story planed.

But it all depends on what you want
Do you want a Futuristic Star Wars type rp,a medievil fantasy type or a supernatural modern type
Well; I do have a story idea, which you can read here: http://tigerman354.deviantart.com/art/The-Frostwood-Chronicles-The-Samba-Case-Chap-1-609195792. It was just a little adventure outside my usual story ideas; is this idea ok?

I think a Call of Cthulhu style story would be cool!

I like your story idea, it sort of makes sense if we were an adventuring party headed home after some kind of smaller quest, which is a little more original than 'you all meet in an inn.' :gleeDavin: And I like the idea of investigating a small New England town to fight cults and monsters-- provided our crew has enough points to Movement. (It's a CoC thing-- it's one of the only games where Movement might be your most important stat, and no-one wants the magic items.) :XDWT:

Yeah; the idea behind the story is that the main character is going home after a quest like he normally would but runs into something that's never happened to him before. It's pretty basic and makes for a good story.

Sure!
[doublepost=1463614293,1463608731][/doublepost]Are we still working in a Lovecraftian bent? Sort of like a 'At the Mountains of Madness' or 'The Shadow Over Innsmouth'-type thing?
Also, could we include a morality/sanity system? Or is that too much?

Yeah; that could work, I'm a big fan of Lovecraft's work, what about you?
[doublepost=1463645028][/doublepost]
Let's include the morality system
[doublepost=1463629255,1463629214][/doublepost]
Sure
Ok; should we introduce our characters first then?

I'm definitely good with the Lovecraftian angle. I'll need a while to come up with a character, though. I'd appreciate knowing what sort of setting we're doing beyond Mythos Investigation-- are we doing historical sci-fi/fantasy? Or just pure fantasy?

Name: Nekros
Age: unknown
Origin: unknown
Backstory: Markoth "Nekros" Valkyron was a human male blacksmith. From an early age he was fond of learning and often read arcane books about magic and history. At one point in his life a group of hodded men broke into his house and took him. After they brought him to a secluded cave his transformation from blacksmith to necromancer was complete. With his new abilities he merely glanced at the men who took him and viciously attacked them. His anger unleashed. With the cave filled dead bodies he practiced his arts. After a couple of tries he managed to resurect two of them permanently. But they were of no use to him. After a few years he began hearing voices in his head telling to kill and resurect. He began fearing the voices and looked at a group of priests who managed to cleanse him. Now he practises the use of light magic but prefers destructiv and ncromancer magic.

Not sure yet; since we have three people how about we combine all of our ideas? I was think of a Fantasy story with events that are on the weird side of things.

Sounds good. Should I do a straight-up knight as a character? Or do you think something else would be better?

Cool, my turn now; I'll include your character as part of the story too.

Name: Drakon Frostwood
Occupation: Knight, wandering adventurer
Age: 23
Origin: Comes from a family of Knights, parents were killed by a demon
Backstory: Drakon Frostwood has seen the true definition of the word "weird", his usual adventuring routine would be to help others by hunting down monsters; even if it meant come across some strange things in the process. The most strange to happen to our hero was when he was retuning home and ran into a girl named "Kimiko", but he took note of strange Samba dancer outfit in the process. But then, more girls wearing this same outfit as Kimiko begin showing up; so Drakon rushed to assemble a team to help him figure the reason that this is happening, including a mysterious blacksmith named "Nekros"...

I have! Sounds like a good one, too-- it'll be very interesting to see you in action.
Thank you very much; I mentioned that an army of Samba dancers has over run the place and needs help!!! But trust me; he'll be awesome in action and also has a nagging feeling that certain Lovecraftian horrors are behind this whole thing, that a good enough story?
