I agree with you on the humor and that saying. There is an obvious reason for Reiko's curse to be considered as such. Do you remember a few hundred pages ago at the incident with Nick's arms? Something similar or worse could happen here. Reiko has already done enough things she regrets, the last thing she wants is to lose control again.

True, whatever happen to that rival, do you think we'll get to see more of Reiko's past later on? Also, the fact that she doesn't remember much of what she did makes this all the more dangerous for Issy, she must really have no idea what she is getting herself into.
