And so the usual "where the heck do I start" syndrome kicks in that's easiest to relieve through ranting.
So, who am I? Well, I can't say I'm really new. To the forums, yes but I've been creeping around DA, and whatever that entails, for like ten years by now. (Oh god...)
I've always had this lingering desire to create stuff, like art and music and games and stuff. Should I list all my hobbies we'll be here for a while so let's just say I have had my fingers in a lot of pies so to say. And for some reason digital drawing has always been on that list as well, idly poking me all the time. Yet it eludes me...
I know that if I'm given enough time I can do what I like but I'd love to do it a bit more effortless, as in not having to spend days on lineart and whatnot. So instead of thinking and putting more of myself into it I slipped off and decided to learn photoshop quite well instead, and that's where Ive been for far too long, always watching what I believe to be amazing artists and then never do anything about it. But just about now I realized that I'm in a perfect position to just go "Hey, buy a damned tablet and DO IT.". So that's what I'll do, and that's why I decided to join this forum instead of just lurking around.

So then to possibly get some discussion going, does anyone have any experience with the Wacom intuos pro medium? Or the large one, but it looks to me as if it's a bit cumbersome? Not that I'll carry it anywhere but still, I like to have screens and stuff on my desktop.

And I need a better avatar...

Welcome to the Katbox forums, I do hope you enjoy your stay with us here, and aren't a stranger! Mind (or embrace) the crazy to that of which you've jumped into, and of course, should you need anything don't hesitate to ask! Best of luck on all your artistic endeavors, and... indeed, that working on that avatar! :gleeMihari:

Thank you both (+1 at the moment of typing, yay!) for the warm welcoming. Low sanity levels was a requirement to work where I do so I'm rather confident in my abilities there tbh.
And thus was a medium intuos pro ordered, a new avatar chosen and a donation to the katbox improvement campaign. I'm on a roll...!

Hey there new person! Welcome to the Katbox!

I do hope you enjoy your stay and become an active member. Head on over to Artist Alley to join in on the comic discussions on all the comics. Then I would suggest heading on over to Community Works for some fan art and fan fiction.
