But thing is, all Dan wanted was a friend.

I do wonder if by the end of this PIflak is gonna compare notes when they likely report these details to her.

Yup, she was basically mocking his aspirations with that quote! Another interesting difference between that old dream comic (388) and this one is the amount of blood on Regina's claws. There's a lot less in this newer page than in the old one. Considering Dan was dreaming in the old one and that this was a rather traumatic memory for him I guess it's safe to say his dream exaggerated things a bit.

Regarding the rest of Regina's lines: She does raise a rather important point. A lot of creatures would not want to be converted and are actually rather offended by the idea. Probably one of the unstated reasons Regina detests Lorenda so much, she actually embraces getting along with beings and treating them like equals.
